wats up guys!...i ran my truck last night and hit a 13.5 @97.5mph with a 1.8 60ft...could've brought it down even more but since i dont have a C-notch it wheel hopped like crazy, i'll post up that video later....wat do u guys think of that time for being an LS1 cam???.....wats u guys opinion on the LS1 cam period??, cus i bought my truck with it on already and i have a friend that ran a 14.2 fully bolt on and then installed an LS1 cam and ran the exact same time constantly.

i think the nice times have more your good 60' times than the cam itself. the reason i say that is cuz alot of peolpe trap the same mph with the stock cam in single cabs. my thoughts on the ls1 cam is its really small and not worth the time it takes to install it for the minimal gains. anyone want to buy a ls1 cam? i have one for sale

pretty good times in my opinion. It's not a 12.48 like someone else is running with a 5.3L and bolt ons but that's very respectible, I'd be very happy with the results.

    on the 60' times. Nice.

Nobody said anything about cam only. Bolt ons only. Bluecajun. Look above and read blackpearl's sig, it says full boltons, not just a cam.

Full bolt ons can be UD pullies, headers, intake, CAI, cam, springs, hi-ratio and/or full roller rockers, bigger or polished throttle body, torque convertor, gears, posi. You have to draw the line somewhere, do heads count if they're aftermarket? They bolt on and don't change displacement. Stock heads milled to acheive 11:1 compression would still be considered stock if the ports aren't touched.

The later LS6 cam is good. The early ones don't have as much lift. I'd get a little bigger cam than a LS6 if you want more performance. The LS6 made 405HP on the 5.7L, stock. I can see the same numbers from the 5.3 with a good tune and headers.

Damn when did bluecajun5.3 run a 12.48? I must of missed that post.

I don't think the 5.7 and 5.3 are in the same league. 5.7>5.3

oh yeah nice times with the baby cam, I ran a 13.6 with the 2k vette cam.

You MPH actually decreased by one MPH, and you gained 3 tenths. Thats pretty crazy, I wonder what would cause that? Would that LS1 cam cause that? BTW updated you on the fastest truck list.

i was surprised as well but that happened because of my tire size...when i ran my 13.86, i did it and amazingly hooked with my super small 225/55/17 tires and i hit my 13.5 with 26' slicks.

yeah v8, mine is the 2K vette cam as well...wat stall were you running at the time??

duckysbht, thanks for updating me on the list bro, but my 60ft was a 1.86, not 1.80...thanks brotha!!
