Well my anniversary is in March and coincidentally so is our tax return.

I'm definitely getting a different cam - just looking for other ideas for some go-fast goods...?

Some ideas kicking around my head: Ported Throttle Body, Underdrive Pulleys, Electric Cutout...

I know those are only going to give small increases, but I'm kind of running out of what I consider affordable modifications.

Thought I'd post in case there was something I'm not thinking of that would give me some good gains.

Just a thought on U/D pullies.....If I did pullies again, I'd go with steel March pullies. I had the ASP pullies on mine and I could tell a difference in throttle response as well as some gains by the SOTP dyno. But...the aluminum housing sucks for durability. Mine was stretched out enough that I couldn't keep my crank bolt tight. It might have survived if I had followed the torqueing procedures but I just put an impact on it and tightened the $hit out of it. It lasted about three cycles before I figured out why I couldn't keep the bolt tight. Fortunately, I didn't gall the nose of my crank and was able to put the stock pulley back on.

I had to do ASP at the time because March didn't do U/Ds for the 5.3

I called Comp, Thunder Racing, and Holley (Lunati) today and told them that my main goal is to have something that is going to give me neck problems from a roll (low to mid-range) and they all said basically the same thing: something around a 216/220. Comp and Thunder Racing pretty much told me the same thing except Thunder suggested a custom grind from Comp that was just a little different than the off-the-shelf one Comp recommended. Comp suggested their Xtreme XR269 (I believe that's correct) 216/220 .525/.532 114LSA. So that's what I'm going to go with, or something very similar. Thunder recommended a 214/220 with a little bit more lift, but Comp said the smaller lift of the XR269 will give better torque. The guy at Holley or Lunati or whatever the crap they are was an]

I wonder if anyone else is having those problems. The March's aren't as small as an underdrive so you wouldn't get the same gains - not sure if you were aware of that or not...just a heads-up.

Wasn't aware of that. I'd be interested to see the specs on both.

    You must be slow.

You should NEVER use synthetic fluid in blinkers. It will make the seals leak.
