All the single digit trucks I've heard about setups are running either a big shot of n2o or a turbo(s) setup. Is anyone doing it with a supercharger? By no means am I saying I'm wanting to try it, I'm just curious.lol

I know the title should say supercharger but my iPhone auto corrected and I didn't catch it.lol
i dont think so...procharger trucks are close
I know of a 2010 Camaro with a TVS2300 thats high 9's in Houston - I'll see if I can get pics
Theres a 10sec tbss supercharged... If he even took seats out could be a single digit tbss easy!
There will be when Travis (blown06) gets his together. Procharged.
Youre talking about the SC style that sits on top of the motor, I could be wrong byt maybe those styles sont make enough power to make it worth it.
They're still trying to catch up, I'm sure you'll see some soon, lol.
go ahead flame away! :)
Lightnings haven't either on boost. Most need a 100 shot to make it to the 9's
I woul think a full built 408 and a f2 procharger would get the job done. Like I said I was just curious cuz I've never heard of one and think it would be sweet to see it done (hint hint Allen.lol)
Reason why we don't push belt driven power are the issues with the belts.
We've done the 8 and 10 rib conversions btw but I would think pushing t harder would bring up other belt issues.
We like turbos.
Turbo seems to be the cheaper way to go too.
Oh for sure wouldn't surprise me. I just looked at the base Procharger kit versus the basic kit from Trick. Now if you have the means to build your own turbo setup, that's where hp per dollar will really start to shine.
Sounds like someone needs to do this build. I don't think 9's would be too hard with a 4xx motor and a TVS2300. That kinda combo should make 750hp. In a RCSB with the right setup, I don't see why it couldn't go 9's. I just think no one has tried partially, because well no one has tried it yet.
Supercharger and belt driven brings up two types of superchargers, the kind that sit on the engine and replace the intake manifold and the side mount style.
Both of these chargers are great units, however they do have their place. I'd give the side mount (procharger) more chance to hit a 9sec than the intake style.
The two most popular intake replacement styles are the tvs and whipple units. It would take a lot to get a tvs in the 9's. I don't think anyone has done it (we are talking trucks now!).
These chargers do make great daily driver's and dominate that market. Start pushing them and their weaknesses show.
As for the side mount (procharger style), it's just a matter of time.
I've seen a couple builds going on, maybe one of these chargers will break into the nines.
PPL have seen turbos get into the nines, so that remains the popular choice.
btw, the words, easy and nines.
They don't go in the same sentence lol. It takes a lot of money, time, patience, practice, patience, determination, patience, to get there!
5 years from now, nines will be funny.
There will be one if not two at the shootout this year that should get in the 9's... SUV's tho not trucks but same thing lol. Well over 4k lbs...
now you're making it complicated, you know tbss' don't fall under trucks, they're minvans! :)
so 9sec tbsssssesss??
It's really a shame it took this long............
Now Allen I'm sure that minivan comment as funny as it was may hurt a few feelings.
couple minivans have off blowers
Any other big procharger builds going on? I'd like to see them.
