That's a 35"...right now you have a 33".... measure to see if you have an inch of clearance everywhere when you turn. I'm guessing probably not. How did you get 3" in front? If you just cranked the torsions, go ahead and lower those a little, and probably replace ball joints, that's WAY too much.

Cognito leveling & also my 285 measure 33.46 these 315 measure 34.6 so I'm gonna measure. I've seen 315 mounted on stock wheels with my setup I was just wandering.
Stock wheels might work, but the offset is gonna be the problem. My 6'' lift rubbed with 35's and a 16x8 american racing whee Guaranteed that was with the bars sagged, which was probably roun 4-5 inches of lift then.
I am not sure it is safe to run 315s on stock wheels. Max recommended for stock wheels is 285 which is equal to 11.22 inches. 315 = 12.4 inches. Your wheels are 9 inches so get another set of rims. As far as height, dont try to shove them on. Get a beefier suspension setup.
EDIT: Its not the height to worry about, its the width.

i have 305/70/17 on my hoe it rubs alittle when the wheels are crank they measure a true 34 inches the 315 won't work

First of all, stock wheels are much easier to tuck big tires than aftermarket rims with around 4.5" of backspacing. Even though some might think a lower offset might help with fitting big tires, this is not the case.
With that said I have seen plenty of people running 285-315 wide tires on stock rims. I personally wouldn't do it and I think it's pretty dumb to be that cheap, but there have been tons of people who have done it. I was also one of those who did something similar back when I was in high school.
As far as getting them to fit, not all 315/70/17 tires are created equal. For instance BFG all terrains run almost an inch smaller when you actually measure them with a tape measure.
The best bet to get 315/70/17 tires to fit without buy the lift it deserves is to get a 3" body lift and ford keys to crank your torsion bars, then run the stock rims.
Even after that you'll likely have to cut and trim some of the inner plastic fender and lower valance, but that goes with the territory of not getting a big enough lift.
And when something happens and he has to turn very abruptly, a bead pops, and he rolls his truck... We'll all say, Duntz said it was cool to do it.Quote:

IMO if GM had just kept the 4x4 truck a straight axle vehicle, tire size and lift options would be much simpler. Granted they drive smoother with IFS but a 4x4 isn't made for that. They should have at least made it an option haha that would be nice.
