What parts are inside this engine? What # is on the block? The engine code is an LQ9 # and the aluminum block is letter "N" in the #. It is what it is. The L76 is a car motor found in the Pontiac G8. Maybe they just slap a truck intake and oil pan on it. When you call Snyders and ask for an L76....you WILL NOT get the engine I'm talking about. This is not a fly by night salvage yard either, it is top notch service and parts.
it came out of an 07 vortec max truck if that helps.
Oh..I'm just messing with Tyler, He gets all butt hurt when he's wrong. I'm glad to see it's in a good home now. I knew it was a VMAX, it said it on the plastic cover on the top:LOL:. When you go pick it up, tell him to show you the stacks of 6.0L engines they have, they had a couple 80e's also. Good Luck with your brand new motor.:hyper2:
By the way, Did you talk to Mike?
wish i would have known bout this place when buying mine, so i didnt get ripped off
They have any VW engines?
Yes, I am right. Thanks for the backup on this one Zeake... :thumb:
Kurt--I am not butt hurt, nor am I wrong. I am just razzin ya about this, but the motor is an L76.
And I quote: "The Vortec 6000 L76 is a Generation IV small block V8 truck engine and features variable cam phasing, along with Active Fuel Management. It can be considered the replacement for the Generation III LQ9 engine. It produces 367 hp (265 kW) at 5400 rpm and 375 ft·lb (495 N·m) at 4400 rpm. Production started in late 2006.
