    Nelson -VS- Local Tuner

Well after years of reading about Allen and his tunes I am finally ordering one today. I've had a Wait4me tune when I was mostly stock. Then once I added headers I had a Saint Louis tuner SD tune it. He has done 5 tunes on it as I have added parts. The truck has always ran great except my gas mileage has been 11 mpg. All city driving babying it. I am hoping to feel a difference in my wallet and keep the performance. What do you guys think?

11 in town isn't bad looking at your list of mods. Speed costs money man. If Nelson gained you 2mpg and the tune cost you $400 it would take a long long time to even break even.

At $4+ per gallon, 11 vs 13 is a great increase and will save a lot of money in gas if he can keep his foot out of the throttle after the new found powa.

If gas stays around $3.80 per gallon it will take appropriately 8000 miles to break even for a $400 tune. That is only gaining 2mpg, if more the reward will be sooner

Id love to get 11mpg in town lol. In the last year and a half iv only put 3500 miles on my toy truck so guess it would be diff for you. Might as well try it and see. Your obviously already in that thought process lol
