    Nelson tune 2011 6.2????

Well at the time ive got the diablo u7194 programmer for my truck and im about to order the nelson tune just for the simple fact that i would like for the trans to be tuned. I read in another thread the the TCM though can't be removed from the trans and that it has to be tuned through the OBD II. Is this a true statement? also if so how does Nelson send the tunes mailorder??

Well i hate to say this but does that mean that i should get a blackbear just for the fact that he uses autocal and can tune it that way??

I hate to say it on this site, but an easy alternative for you is AutoCal from BlackBear.

Seriously, have you contacted them about this? From what I remember the TCM is inside the transmission and you have to remove the pan to swap out TCMs. Not really an issue if you don't mind getting a little dirty. Get a big rubbermaid tub to catch the fluid in. If you keep everything clean while dropping the pan you can pour the fluid right back in.

Ive searched everywhere and the closest place for a live tune is 4 hrs away and i work 6 days a wk, so thats kinda outa the picture, and with the part about droppin the pan is no biggie but with the autocal i can get logs and send em back. Any word if Nelson plans on using this in the future?? I would much rather have a Nelson..

personally, I would suggest you buy a copy of HPTuners and then put out the extra money to pay Allen to tune it. You'll be amazed how much better you will feel about having control of your tune plus you can use the scanner software any time that something seems odd on your or anyone else's vehicle that has OBDII.
