What exactly is this? A lot of the guys over at chevytruck keep talking about that, westers and fuel economy.

They must be talking about the awesome fuel mileage that their Westers tune gives them when rolling downhill.

redheartbeat, most of that is in their heads, if you drove it you would probably know that they only really got 2 mpg at best increase, they think if they get 20 more miles out of their tank, that their mpg went up 4.

It's funny, but it still doesn't help me understand 3D mapping. If I got 2 extra mpg that would be about 70 extra miles per tank. Better mileage is what I'm going for when I get my tune and the fans turned on.

The best I've gotten so far was on a tank that was about 60% highway driving, got 21.45 mpg. That was before the whels and servo though.

when tuning a pcm you remap the timing tables to raise the amount of timing. if not done correctly it can lead to a choppy timing table. 3d map is in there to let you see where the ups and downs are. you want it to be smooth. if you have a nelson tune it is smooth. and dont worry. WESTERS TUNES SUCK!!!!!!!!!
