Its obvious from everyone that Allen can tune. But what if I change tire size after I get the "Good Tune"? Do I have to wait for another pcm? Can I buy LS1Edit and have Allen tune it and still be able to make minor changes? I guess I want the best of both worlds.

if you want the best of all worlds get hptuners.com software and you can learn to do your own minor changes plus all the changes you need to do for friends that have the same year model as you. Starting with Allen's tune is suggested to get you going in the right direction from day one. It will prevent you from making fatal mistakes as you learn to edit yourself. I like Allen's way of customer service since you have no down time while he is updating your PCM. His free updates to your PCM are unheard of in the marketplace. Others will do updates but they screw you for $50 or more for handling fees for changes and you have to wait for weeks for updates to come from places like Canada or Australia where they have laws against computers crossing the borders without legal documentation. I would not spend the $500 to $600 just to play with the program when you can have a specialist maintain it for you.

this is what I have done Tommy.
Allen has tuned the truck, but I also have edit for making "some" changes.
I bought it to learn how to do it myself, but it is taking me a while to learn the ends and outs.
If it is something simple I will change it. if it is something that might cause problems, then I will discuss it with allen first. to see if I need him to email me a new tune.

it's like with the cam I have in it now. I need some major tuning done, and most likely will need to take the truck to allen to get it dialed in right..

    and to answer your question,
YES, if you have edit you can get into the PCm, and change what ever you want. . Usually. you will just have to set that up with allen.

A nice thing about having your own copy of Edit is that you can email Allen your current file and he can edit the file you currently have running in your truck.

Thanks guys. I'm looking to do a few upgrades in December when I get my bonus from work. I'm just trying to figure out the most direct and monitarily efficient way of getting there. I don't like to spend money experimenting. Now when I win the LOTTO, experimenting becomes really FUN.
