    V6 Performance

I know there is a thread already asking about a V6 Nelson tune, but I have a couple other questions. I have a 2003 Silverado RCSB with a 4.3/5spd with a cold air intake, flowmaster 40 dumped, and some Denso Iridium plugs. Would a Nelson tune (or any custom tune) help much considering my shifting and torque managment can't be changed? How much difference would I see? Or how about a set of E-fans? Would that help much at all?

just throw a turbo on it...lol... but seriously you could find a 5.3 to throw in for a little more than the fans.... just my .02

The best advice I have ever heard:... Only take B( . Y . )ST advice from someone that is CURRENTLY running a turbo setup close to, or bigger than what you want......

Yeah but I hear the mounts and wiring/computer would be a bitch. I want a 6.0 but then i would have the same problem. The little v6 has 130,000 on it anyway so it probably won't last a whole lot longer.

I can find 4.8s and 5.3s here in my hometown for 400$ and 6.0s for 800$....A Tune is almost 400$ anyway Id just buy a 5.3 and swap it in! Dont try modding the V6 up, I tried and it got pointless....

yeah just go ahead and do the 5.3/6.0. You will be so much happier. Its really not that hard as long as you get the exact year/motor/harness

Here in DFW call Allstate wrecking in Grand Prairie or ABC Truck and auto. Affiliated is also a good place. They're all on Jefferson in Grand Prairie.

Won't last much longer? Maybe because it's a 5-speed and is abused? My 2000 4.3 has almost 207K miles on it...

Holy ****. That's a good deal. What about wiring harnesses? Are they included?
