    codes

ever since i got my exhaust installed (lt's, hi-flow cats, true dual 2.5") my check engine light has been on. I went to autozone today and they scanned it for me.

    P1133
    P1153

those are the codes that came up

the guy there said it was probably a bad o2 sensor or the wires go melted or something, i havent gotten to check yet since its already dark here.. is there anything i need to be concerned about or really look for?

Plugged in right? Don't see why they would be bad in at the same time. Sensor one is the 02 sensor before the cat. The cats should really have to impact on that. They would only affect sensor 2, the ones after the cats. Maybe some one at the shop swapped theirs for yours if they are bad.

Sounds like they're not plugged in. If the heater fuse was blown you'd have heater performance DTC's, not switching DTC's.

    GM says:

    Check for the following conditions:

    • An improperly installed air cleaner outlet duct

    • The air cleaner outlet duct for a collapsed duct, restrictions, or a missing or plugged air filter

    • Throttle body and intake manifold vacuum leaks

    • A damaged or blocked throttle body inlet

Exhaust system for corrosion, leaks, or loose or missing hardware.

The HO2S is installed securely and the pigtail harness is not contacting the exhaust manifold or wires

    • HO2S contamination

    • The vacuum hoses for splits, kinks, and proper connections

    • Excessive water, alcohol, or other contaminants in the fuel.

    • VCM sensor grounds that are clean, tight, and properly positioned

If you have the square O2 plugs up front, replace the front O2s with Corvette rear/behind the cat sensors.

Yup updgrade to Bosch 13111's. Problem solved. They are extra long so they will reach with header installs. Best bang for buck available.

i just got everything looked at and the problem is that the way the exhaust guy installed the cats, both front o2's are bad. the driver side because its hitting on the floor pan and the passenger has either just gone bad or he got it too hot while welding the cat on also, the positive battery cable is hitting one of the header pipes and is almost melted thru!! so i get to fix that. also one of the sparkplug boots is starting to melt from being too close to the header, so i also get to find some boots for those. needless to say, im pretty pissed that all of this, or at least almost all of it is the exhaust shop's fault for installing the cats improperly and not re-routing or at leas telling me about wires that were hitting on the headers:wtf:
