Thumbs up

Mine does this every once and awhile . Sometimes when I start it up , at a stop sign , anytime I take my foot off the pedal . But I can keep it running if I push the throttle down a little more than before & use the brake to keep the rpm's up when Im at a stop sign . It might run for a month with out doing it or might do this all day . Its been doing this for awhile now .

I checked them awhile back . Its like the TB closes completely off or the fuel system shuts down . Bad mass airflow sensor maybe ?

CHECK YOUR TPS SENSOR. IF IT STICKS CLOSED IT WILL CHOKE THE MOTOR AT IDLE AND DIE. THE VOLTS MIGHT NEED TO BE RECALIBRATED.
I SORRY, I MEANT THE IAC SENSOR. I'M SUCH AN IDIOT! EDITED!

You need to crack the throttle blades open just a tad bit more so it gets just a little bit more air. Screw the adjuster in just about a 1/2 turn and it should be fine.

Yeah, since you have a 2000---it has the cable-style throttle linkage. It's the idle adjustment screw on the t.b. Almost positive. I'd start with a 1/4-1/3 turn of the screw, then drive it around. If it goes away, great. If not, turn it another 1/4-1/3 turn. That should take care of it. If not, that goes above my limited knowledge of the PCM's parental antics...

Could be many things... Any codes or anything you did recently, Can you duplicate the symptoms? If so dissconet the MAF and try to repeat it. Yes the AIT sensor is built into the MAF dont worry about that for now.

I would rule that out first as I have seen it to many times. Being descreened dont help either.
