Thread: Muffler Options

    Muffler Options

I am currently in need of a new muffler on my truck, and I am in debate as to what to get. I was looking at a Flowmaster Super 40 Deltaflow priced around $90 for the muffler, but I have always been a Borla fan, I have a universal spitfire 'tuner' muffler on my intrepid, and I could get a muffler for my truck for around $180...

Any one else have thoughts, or video of how their truck sounds with different mufflers??

Truck is a 6.0l, and I am wanting some aggressive noise, but not annoying

    Thankx!!

Borla Xr-1. I love mine, I have the round case 3inch in/out version.

Thanks! I was looking at a Borla Turbo XL 2.5in dual in/out to keep a 'stock' appearance, be around $180 plus install...

That will just be a bit more timid than the xr-1. The xr-1 is loud with no cats but, my truck is deadened with fatmat and second skin so it's not to crazy in the cab.

I think I may go with the Flow-master for the cost effectiveness of it for the time being, I love the sound of borla, but that may be when I convert the truck into a highway hauling truck and she spends less time in the boonies tackling trails!

have you looked at the Dynomax or Spintech stuff? they sound great & most are straight-through so they'll flow much better than that Flowdisaster 40
00 FRC - just top end, exhaust, and a hot-air intake
