    Tire choice....

I am looking at tires right now that I will order on Monday morning the break down looks like this....
    275/55-20
    Hankooks rh06 164$
    Kumho ecsta Stx 136$
    Nitto 420s 174$

    265/50-20
    Hankooks rh06 180$
    Nitto 420s 136$

    285/50-20
    Nitto 420s 143$
    Hankooks rh06 180$

I was planing on the 275/55 rh06, but now I am fairly torn. I will likely never go lower than 2/4 and plan to stay stock or maybe rear 2" drop in the near future. Let's hear what you think. Rain, ice and snow as well as desert heat will all be a regular occurrence on these tires.

265/50s look killer on tbss's in the 420s id go that root or the rh06s nothing else. Toyos are too soft glad to see they aren't one of your chooses.

I just bought a set of the hankooks today, I know the guys that tested that tire, they said it performed and held up really good but the nittos are a good tire also can't go wrong either way.

I think it is coming down to the 265/50 nittos vs the 275/55 hankooks. 136$ vs 164$..... Also I am sure the smaller tire would be better for performance considering my 3.42s I was pretty set on the hankooks but the $100 total difference is hard to argue.

IMO the hankook 265/50/20. i paid 140 for my Goodyear Fortera's, its 30.5 tall instead of 31.3. i love the way they ride. they do not feel as heavy as 275/55s did on my truck.

At that size they are 44$ more expensive. So my question is.... Are the hankooks 176$ better than the nittos?

If I go hankooks it will probably be the 275/55 unless someone shows me a better deal somewhere and if I go nitto it will be the 265/50 and the price is the best in the group by a long shot. Both are vrated and similar all the way around. Anyone have experience with one and think its better for a particular reason? Better yet anyone know where I can get a better price than discount(seems they are impossible to beat these days)

i used to run the Nitto 404s for the rear, i currently have them on the front. The 404 wore pretty well for being abused as much as they were, my fronts after 20k miles still look decent in the middle. I chose hankooks cause of the price and the size available. now that i have them on the truck and some miles with them. Im very suprised on how well they hook up the power i make, they are a very solid and stable tire at speeds and wear so far looks great. with that being said ill replace the nittos with hankooks when the fronts get bad
