if your truck has a bolt-in crossmember it will be easy. If not, you're going to have to jack the engine up as high as it will go in the truck and then snake your way into accessing the bolts holding the pickup tube to the block. The rest of the bolts aren't too bad.

Yes, you can remove the oil pan with the engine in the truck. I had to lower the front diff before I could get my pan all the way off.
