    spindle lift kits

was looking at getting a springtech spindle lift kit because they are almost half the price of a cst, my question is does the springtech need the UPPER BALL JOINT TAPER SLEEVE, like what the CST kit uses. just wondering if i would need to buy those seprately. also would i need extended brake lines or no.

I just did a rough country 3" spindle on my 2wd and I needed extended brake lines. Russell had some issues with their quality control and I got two sets of stock length brake lines before I got the right ones. If you decide to get the lines, part # 695760 for 99-06 2wd.

I put a 7" fabtech lift on a 2wd with stock brake lines..

The rear was TIGHT (I added an extra add-a-leaf to keep rake), but the front is fine (if you take off the retaining clip on the upper control arm and just run the hose straight)

i eventually got the russell kit for stopping performance, but it wasn't NECESSARY.

i've heard alot of bad things about any 2wd lift that changes the upper control arm. I got longer coil springs, and a new spindle, top stayed factory. 40k miles, NO PROBLEMS (except a tie rod)
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum
