And what's the coolant line (1/4") that goes to the bottom and top of the throttle body? can i cap that off?

That goes to the cylinder head air bleed for the coolant. Most guys bypass the throttle body preheat tube(what your talking about) and return it back to the coolant stream. Mine is returned to a tapped hole near one of the heater hose connections on the water pump.

So my injectors don't seem to be opening, the motor's sat for 3 years, it fires with starting fluid, but not on fuel....how do i do the 12v to the injectors (1 at a time) trick to get them to free up? I can hear the pump turn on, and hear what sounds like fuel at the rail....maybe i'll try purging the fuel rail of air through the pressure check schrader valve.
i'd still like to know the injector trick.....if there is one.

12v goes straight to the injectors. You can put a momentary ground to the opposite side of the connector to fire it. You also could cut one connector off the harness and reconnect it later. Pull all the injectors off the fuel rail and feed straight fuel injector cleaner into the injector as you fire it by hooking 12v to one side of the injector and momentary ground to the other until you get a nice conical shaped pattern from the injector. I do that by placing a fuel pump in a can of cleaner, running a rubber hose from the pump to the injector and catch the spray in a seperate container. I know, sounds cheesy but it works.

I've still got no fire on gasoline....are there any "easy" checks i can do to see if the injectors are working? Or should i just pull the fuel rails and check em that way?
thanks in advance

question 1... is there fuel pressure, 50 psi, at the fuel rail when you attemp to start it.
question 2... is there 12v going to the injectors when the key switch is in the "ON" position.
question 3... has the VATS been disabled in the PCM

2) i don't know i'll check it
3) Yes, Nelson had my PCM and did the tune and removed all VATS and emissions for me.
