    fast boats anyone?

Before I started modding my truck I was working on a boat I bought.I have an undying love for vintage speed boats. Its a 1979 21ft checkmate exciter with a 235 hp Johnson. All I really like on it is seats and carpet. Plans are to install a 10" jack plate and low water pick up. Anyone else into boats or have a boat project? Post up some pics and and some details!

I've got to get a jack plate and get it set up right. I'm running a 24p raker prop and best I get is 60 and it starts to over rev. I know the prop is capable of 70's because it would do it on my buddies boat that is similar to mine . I can do 55 with 4 people , 30 gal gas, and a cooler.

Crazy speed boat guys. I (or rather my Inlaws) have a mastercraft x45 that has a 6.0 LS motor in it. It will do about 65mph on smooth water(gps confirmed). Also Did 55 once with me wake boarding. Scared the shiz out of me although we barefoot behind it at about 35+/- so I have taken some high speed hits before lol

I've got a 1975 glastron 16' with a 70hp Johnson. It will do around 30 with 4 people and a cooler. Nothing fancy, but it starts everytime. About to pick up a 94 glastron with a 5.0 Ford. Gonna soup it up a little and hope for 50+ loaded.

Got my fingers in a 75 glastron too. It still has a long way to go.

Nice boat! Anyone ever see that crazy outboard called a 7? Has an LSA under the hood, 557hp.

I'd love to have a fast boat, just have a 14' aluminum with a 15hp Yamaha 2 stroke on it, does 26mph with just me in it. My cousin has one with a 25hp Merc on it and it does 32mph with one person, that thing is scary fast for a little aluminum boat.

I know the feeling. Just replaced the entire deck and stringers in mine. I hate fiberglass!

Thats insane! Can't wait to show my boat buddies that write up! I've got a 12ft with a modded 25 Johnson too. Not sure how fast it goes buts its a blast zipping down the river and dodging logs.
