After reading all 6 pages, I’m looking for a time slip from your truck when you went to the drags and I cant seem to find it
Are those aftermarket mirrors? i have a 96 and the mirrors are black plastic. I would start with removing the flames, the god awful autozone tailights, the sticker on the windshield, the rain gutters on the side doors, get a better flowing front grill, it looks like one of those that are flames cut out of aluminum, i bet they hardly let any air in. In my personal opinion those wheels dont look that great on the truck. So if you sell all those parts you just took off on ebay you will have more money to get a 6.0 swap. I had contemplated this exact thing for a long time, which route to go...
In the long run if you plan on having the truck for a while you are better off with a 6.0 swap. You could get a basic swap done pretty inexpensively, then you have a motor in there that has a lot more potential and aftermarket parts, newer technology and it would be a unique truck. When i open my hood people are like what the heck is that? So i started with about the same thing you have now, the worst i ever did was a plastic bug shield on my hood though as far being a ricer.lol
heres a couple pics of my truck now
this was when i had the 6.0
thats a huge pic lol
i love the hi-lift on the front
