for every inch in tire you lose or gain .10

but also remember majority of gearin is offset from a Fbody. thats why most trucks dont run proper gearing.

fbodys run a 25.4 tire and run 342s with manuals and 323[op] with autos. average is 410s for both with 25.4 tires. US truck guys think 410s are key for trucks with a 30" tire. trucks are better off with 456s with 30" tires for same comparision

yea i guess stating info that to some doesnt make sense. thats one thing in life that wont lie and its numbers. numbers dont lie, which means math doesnt.

if you run a 28" tire with 410s and you swap to a 26" tire and then youll gearin will be 4.30s

thus 1" in height loss gained you .10 of gearing

so 2" in height loss from 28 to 26
so 2" in height loss did you 410 to 430...which is .20

just as if truck came with 31.5 with 373 and you swap to 35s which by math is gain of 3.5". which means it dropped your gearin from 373 to roughly 3.42s which is a dog. for math gearing on that combo to obtain same crusing rpms 410s are needed.

    make any sense?
