There is an MP112 for sale on the SilveradoSS forum for $3k. That would put down some serious torque right where you need it with either a 5.3 or 6.0. A roots style blower is the only way I would go on something I would use for towing.

Its a 2001 1500hd CCSB 2wd. bone stock except for the custom body work the guy had done when he ran it thru a house LOL.
