I thought the price was FAIR! That doesn't mean that I enjoyed paying it or that I MAYBE could've gotten the same cheaper someplace else. I figured about $500-600 in parts which leaves about $1000 on the table. 8-10 hours of labor at $95/hr is another $800-1000 plus meeting me at 9:00 p.m. at the shop to pick the truck up. I'm not even going to go into the additional margin that Vince might have by being able to "stock" rebuilt transmissions for shipment. And as to whether mine was dyno tested....nope.....it was engine tested. The only difference being what powers the transmission for the test.

And an FLT is NOT a NEW transmission....it is a re-built transmission from all the $300-500 returned cores that's NOT included in the price.....not much different that what I got. And you can't honestly say that Vince's build is or isn't anymore right than Sparky's. Only time will tell that. And absolutely no disrespect to Vince or Jerry in any of those statements either.

Spinz you did what you had to do regardless of who was going to do the work. I guess if Jerry's had answered the phone, you might have went that route but history here has already been made. Never the less good to here all worked out for you. I am not here to bash any of the companies mentioned here and good luck with your new transmission.

On another note. Our units are rebuilt from cores that are returned or ones that we purchase. We currently are not taking core deposits however there is a core return. If we do not receive your core back in 30 days there is a charge. We do this by keeping a credit card on file. At the time of the purchase these terms and conditions are discussed. As far as our units are concerned we all know the old saying. You get what you pay for. I will be the first one to say that we are not cheap. However take a look at our build sheets for what goes into every unit we build. We install a ton of parts and also install parts not listed on the web page. We specialize in these builds and that is what makes us different then most. Our units are literally built as new. Meaning that every aspect of that trans is addressed. We do not cut corners and never will. Look at this thread that I have been posting pic's in. It shows what we are all about and how it gets done. As you will see by the photos the units are like new inside and out. I guarantee there are very few companies that build as we do. This is a great thread and I think some of you should take a look at it before passing judgement on our product. Here is a link to the thread. Enjoy the photos. FLT takes the wow factor!!! Thank you for your time. Vince

    Vince,
Thanks for the post. Let me say that if time and monies permitted, I'd have an FLT transmission in the truck. Problem is that hasn't been the case since the truck is a DD, read; if it ain't running, I ain't making money!

I have read your post here and on PT.net. You definitely have the shiznits of trannys and if anyone asked, my first recommendation would be an FLT. At the same time, I want to give some credit to lesser known builders that have helped me out in my situations.

Thanks again for your post and your support here and on other sites.
