what trans was in it before?? you said you swapped a 60e in. it didnt come with that? if you had to extend the purple/? twisted wires or add them if you didnt have them, make sure your connections are solid and that they are TWISTED all the way to the pcm or else it might be picking up interference from other wires and definately will provide interference to others as its a pulsing signal.
Like Tumbler in "Gone in 60" I'll drive anything with wheels or without

Well I doubt 6" would make a difference unless it was next to a big power cable or something. Worth a shot tho. Also I'm not sure how the sensor works in the trans but this happened on my motorcycle. There is a rotor and magnet pickup. The bolt holding the rotor came loose and chewed up the magnet which threw the reading jumping all over like what u describe. Maybe something similar is going on inside yours too?
I did a lq9 swap into my 95 and for the life of me cannot get my tach to read right. I have pcm hooked up which makes it read about half. I have tried the 1k ohm resistor and a 690 ohm resistor neither of them fix the problem. No one else has any ideas I have read every TACH thread on here. And called psi who did my harness they only tell me to use a resistor. Can you help ?
You need to have the PCM retuned to a V8 signal. The 95 gauges read the RPM from the ignition coil. The new PCM outputs a 4 cylinder signal. So you get 1/2 rpm. I have the same thing and am going to get it fixed by blackbear (they did the tuning)
Psi says wiring in a 1k ohm resistor will fix it but it doesn't. I am in Oregon. And don't want to remove my pcm to send it out do you know of a tuner in this area ? Or what program is needed to fix it ?
Salem area. Only know of tuned motorsports.

Tom Wong is who I would go to for tuning. You can also pay a deposit for another pcm with the corrected tune and then send the one currently on your truck back to get your deposit back. Blackbear does this.
