That's what I thought it could be but I was told it was tuned out. Thanks for the confirmation.
Quick Update, got the 95 Started after taking a trip to the tuner. Turns out the owner didn't let the tuner know that the truck was going to be DBC and not DBW. It was causing a U0107 Code and shut the engine down immediately. Popped the PCM back in and it started right up. Sounds great, now I just have to finish the OE Harness this week. I haven't had the chance since I had to get MY truck back up and running.

Figuring out where to wire up the tach and Vehicle Speed Signal to on the OE cluster. Can anyone chime in on this? I thought I had found the right wires on the c100 connector but I'm not sure that's it. I was using the D3 pin for the Tach and the E7 for the Speed. Also, what can I do about the PRNDL? It's not lighting up because I'm using the new style trans, therefore I don't know which gear it's in, I have no Neutral Safety switch and no Reverse lights.

For the tac there's a white wire coming from your c100 connector you have to hook it up to switched power and use a resistor then plug it into pin 10 on your green pcm connector

For the pns switch...good luck bro. I been fighting with it for 2 months. I had to hot wire the starter to get it to start. I'm going to let a pro deal with it.
sorry to bring up an old thread but im in need of either rebuilding my 350 tbi or swapping in a new motor this year (by october) due to smog in cali. id rather spend the money on a newer better motor and have been doing tons of research lately on what i can and cant do and things are very fuzzy when i comes to "legal swaps" as most people pass cash with a handshake.... thats fine but im not gonna do that and im really interested in doing a LQ4 swap in my 95 also (way cheaper than the LQ9 and lower compression which is friendly for the future turbo...) and came accross this thread!! its hard to tell if the LQ4 is allowed to be in a 1/2 ton class because it mostly came in HD vehicles but it seems some denalis and yukons had them which would make this allowed.
Anyway, i was wondering what ended up happening with this build? did i get finished? did it ever get legally passed at the referee station and get the sticker? was there any hiccups getting it passed? are there more pics and info on this build? if it all worked out i am going to do this exact same swap since i have the exact same truck except its an extended cab and i will be going with a 4L80e. any and all info you have on the build no matter how miniscule would be GREATLY appreciated. PM or email me if need be. thanks in advance.
oh and anyone else that may have the information im asking for, please chime in!!!! and im in the market for a LQ4 (assuming im allowed to use it) so if anyone has one for sale..... unfortuneatlely im starting to get strapped for time, about 7 months before reg is due so im really looking for a damn near complete motor/tranny. dont have too much time to source for parts to put on a long block. thanks!!
I would look in your local Craigslist for possible engines/trans. Be sure to get the harness and computer with it to simplify the installation. If you do get the original harness and PCM, the PCM will need to be "flashed". Basically a term meaning it will need a reprogram removing the VATS(Vehicle Anti Theft System). All other emissions programs should remain intact for your emissions friendly install.
If you decide to run the 4L80E, you will need to shorten your driveshaft as well as get the driveshaft from the donor vehicle to get the yoke for it.

I used to live in California, the emissions were simple, if you put a 2004 motor in a vehicle, it must pass emissions for a 2004. It was weird, cause it didn't matter what year your car was, just the year of the motor. Don't worry to much, even with emissions, you can still have a very powerful vehicle.

thanks for the replies and the email with the lt1.com link. i had visited that site once before when i first started learning about swaps and it was way over my head. but now it makes a lil more sense. anyway, since my last post i came to realize that the lq4 came in HD or 3/4 vehicles which is not allowed to be installed into LD vehicles (i think the 99/00 denali 1/2ton got it but not positive) so instead of chancing it im going to stick with the lq9 as its a safer bet getting it approved. and i used car-part.com for the first time and i think i may have found one from on 03 escalade for a reasonable price and its a pullout!!! im going to check it out tomrrow. if it looks good ill prolly pick it up but i was wondering if anyone knows of what smog equipment came on the suv so i can see what it has and what else i need to buy including cats...1 or 2 cats?
anyway, i know im starting to hijack here so im going to start a new thread, hopefully a build thread, with my plans, parts list, and questions (including this one if it doesnt get answered here) thanks for the help. ive learned so much in the past 24hours alone my head is starting to hurt!
