    Weight loss

Over the course of the school year, I seem to have packed a few extra pounds on (try 23). This happens every year for me and it just goes to show that a sedentary lifestyle is not good for you. Every winter I pack on about 15 extra pounds while I'm in school. This year, it was 23. So I started my weight loss routine on Monday. As of this afternoon after work, I had lost 7 lbs. I weighted 181.2 this afternoon and I was 165 at the end of last summer. I'd like to get back down to that, but will be satisfied if I make 172. I'd say 7 lbs in 11 days isn't half bad.

Now, this is how I do things. It's probably not the CORRECT way. It's probably not the HEALTHY way. But it works for me and has worked for 3 years.

Eat a small breakfast. Usually, I cook sausage or bacon the night before (because I have to be at the shop at 6 most days) and put it in the fridge. Some mornings I'll just eat that. Some mornings I'll throw in eggs. I drink a small 8oz apple or orange juice and 1 cup of coffee.

I work a physical job that requires 60+ hours a week of labor in the Oklahoma heat. Remember, I live on a lake and the humidity here is killer. By the end of each day, I'm normally drenched in sweat.

Lunch time, I eat a small snack. Normally half a sandwich (always turkey and cheese, no dressing) on white bread. A piece of fruit normally, and sometimes a small bag of chips.

Back to work. Get off work around 6-8, come home, and eat WHATEVER I WANT for dinner. I normally eat like a pig in the evenings. Go to bed around 9:30-10:30, and wake up at 5 to start it all again.

I'm just proud of myself really. I'm happy that I can still gain and lose weight so easily.

Gained my 30 pounds with having the kid and being stuck in the small apt.

But the purchase of a house that needs some work should help shed the weight....if i can stop the boozin too

I have had one 24oz mug of beer in the last 3 weeks. Me being stuck at school in a small apartment did it too.

FTW!! When I'm on an inspection (I inspect boilers at combined cycle power plants), I typically work 12 hour days and I PIG out on food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner because of how physical the nature of the work is. I cannot gain weight no matter how hard I try. I'm going on 23 years old now at 6'1" tall and have been ~165 lbs (heaviest) for the past 4 years or so.

One thing you may try since you dont have much time to do any "exercise" is a fat metabolizer, or a fat burner.... Helps your body burn the fat at a faster rate.

best general advice for everyone at all times I can give, is drink alot of water everyday. Except on my bulk, if your cutting weight or fat, drink atleast a gallon a day, lots more if your sweating. Make it cold water. burns calories and ups metabolisms.
