    it'll be cheaper to just swap a 6.0 or stall/gears
    00 FRC - just top end, exhaust, and a hot-air intake

    Down to the same. Hell, it could even get better since your 4.8 revs up more often to get your tank moving.

    And everyone quit telling him to get a high stall torque converter. He wants an offroad/onroad truck. Like casey said, anything higher than a 2800 stall tc will hinder performance.

    my in-town mileage went from 14 to 16 when i swapped from the 4.3 to the 5.3 and only went down by 1 on the interstate.
