    2nd oldest consecutively ran NHRA track in the US I believe... Used to be 1000 ft, but was shortened bout 20 years ago now it's 1/8th mile... I think the track has been there for bout 45 years...

    Yeah, before they cut it back to 1000' I think it was a 1/4 mile track. There is no way that there was enough shutdown room after a 1/4. I think as cars got faster, they finally cut it on down to 1/8 after cars were still not able to shut down quick enough. It is a pretty nice surface though. The 1/8 is all concrete(former owner owned concrete company) and they are doing many improvements on the whole place to try and bring it around. Oh yeah, it is actually between Reno and Blossom, but is still called the Paris Dragstrip.

    I'll most likely be in kennedale playing crew chief the next couple weekends, but one weekend when I'm not at the dirt track I would like to go run my truck.. Maybe git a few people together and go out there?? The next free saturday I have will be may 1.. Anyone interested??

    The guys from Mad Piston Racewear ATV stunt team are supposed to be there on the 1st of may... I got them set up with the track, so I told them I would be there... Even if ya got nothin to run i would still be down just to have a git together with some of the board members...
