Have fun with this choice. I guarantee it will be the best decision you ever made. Not just because of the degree but everything that goes along with school. I recommend getting dry erase markers and using a large mirror in your house as a dry erase board. +1 for making friends. Cant do it on your own.

His is related to his charitable non-profit organization so you could say he doesn't use his for big profit either. My mom went back to school after all those years of taking care of my sister then me to get her BA only to get paid almost nothing to help severely disabled kids in the poorly run and ineffective Texas public school system only to give up later because of her health.

Taylor, have fun and do what's right for you but never listen to people on the internet (including me) that tell you what to do.
    Dang, thanks Debbie Downer.

I disagree. Your sister voluntarily became a stay-at-home mom. Should not be used to validate how well or not well a degree is utilized. Your dad received it later in life after retiring. Should not be used to validate how well or not well a degree is utilized. Your mom got a degree and is an employee of the State of Texas school system. I agree that teachers should be paid better, but they do receive decent benefits and retirement. A person w/o a degree cannot become a teacher in the State of Texas. In this instance, having a degree made her able to do what she wanted to do with her life.

Not trying to be a jerk, but 2 of your references aren't valid and the other showed that it pays off to get a degree.

So what was the purpose of this post?

Just to say that everyone is different. Out of the four of us, I am the only one working and they're the ones with 2 MS's and a BA between them. That's all. I quit my scholarship because of life issues and still kinda regret it.
