Well Moze, whats the verdict? Better, worse, same? Can you tell a power difference with the muffler change?

Forgot to mention to you on the phone, my old muffler was a Flowmaster. The writing was on top of the muffler, so I thought it was just a generic. I can't tell a noticeable difference between the two setups, other than it's a little quieter running the single 3" rather than the duals like it was. hoping to get the cats on today...

I run IMCO extremes . I still have factory cats, but I love the way they sound. A rumble at idle and an even deeper rumble upon acceleration. No snappy sound, just rumble. I will post a sound pic soon.

    Thanks BD

OK, I haven't made ot to the exhaust shop yet, but the stock cats are about 12" long and I've BARELY got that much room to put them, so I'm not sure if they can make it work or not. If they can't, (and I'm about to research this) are there any cats that are pretty short with a small diamater that might work?

Dont know, really haven't looked at converters lately.Sorry. Magnaflow makes some short ones. I know they are smaller than stock.

Just an update and a confirmation.

The update is that the stock cats are now welded back in. Tight fit, but they're in.

The confirmation is that the cats DEFINITELY made it quieter. It sounds really good now, I'm very happy with it. Dumping the exhaust before the axle sounds jussssst fine. The noise was because the cats were gone.

I'll get a video/sound clip up in the next day or so.

I forgot to add: It definitely sounds better, but I can also tell the cats are restricting it a little. So I guess I'll start a search for the best flowing cats. If anyone has any input throw it out there...

Ive heard nothing but good from magnaflow, mine really accented the sound of the small v6 and still had a deep rumble for how small it is.
