    5.3 lm7 turbo build

    im new to the site also new to turbos and ls swaps I have 88 chevy that I am putting a 5.3 lm7 in I also have a t4 turbo that I want to put on it and is it possible to put down 550hp to the ground with this combo im just looking to get started and trying to figure the best way to do that thank you

    Yes it has been done many times, but will take a lot of supporting components.

    Fuel
    60lbs or bigger injectors
    Big fuel pump aero 340 would be good.

    transmission rearend etc

    yea I have a 12bolt rear with 4:11 gears and a fully built th350 trans with 3500 rpm stall and trans brake and manual valve body just trying to get a pretty damn fun street truck if you know what I mean

    Ya it's possible. As long as the turbo will support it.
    Fuel upgrades above a d a decent amount of boost on the stock 5.3 should do it.

    02camaross has had great success with the speed inc TU1 cam in his 5.3 or the isky 215 cam if you want something more mild.

    all I know is the turbo is a gt45 im new to turbos I can look the specs up,, and im looking for a thumping good street cam that will give me all I can and as far as for the turbo will the stock 706 heads work or do I need new ones or can I shave these valve job and a good port and polish job work ??

    Do whatever your budget allows.... Better flowing intake system will help yes. TU or isky cams are a good way to go. You need to do some searching. There's dozens and dozens of builds like yours on this forum alone.
    Slowest in Oklahoma...
