I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the title of your thread is indicitive of what YOU wanted help with, and now you're being stubborn with people offering you suggestions on making more power. I think most guys on here have the idea of making big power down to a tee. Do some searching and you'll see there have been countless LSx swaps done in the OBS Chevy/GMCs, 5.3s and 6.0s can be had for fairly cheap and make a lot more power way cheaper than your 5.7 ever will. The information is out there for you, and plenty of people here will help you with any questions you may have, you just need to be willing to take advice/critisism. If you don't want to get into a project like an LSx swap, you can start to make that 5.7 faster by ditching the throttle body spacer, having someone like Nelson tune it for you (no, not a handheld) and regearing for those 33's.

The name of this site is LS1trucks, not TBI350... We are biased towards ls based engines for logical reasons. The 350 you have isn't even the same as an older 350 because of the TBI. Sure, you could slap a different intake and a nice carb on it and be better off. You could cam it, get a stall in there, get at least 4.10s, a custom tune.... Then you talk about a supercharger. A supercharger and supporting mods is going to cost a pretty penny, which you said you don't have.

I will be honest with you. For the money, a 6.0 swap would be cheaper, more reliable, and better on fuel than your TBI 350 with the mods you're talking about. You can get 500 rwhp out of a NA 6.0. Ask skeet, he's close. Myself, I'll stick to my 5.3 with a little shot of giggle gas... And it'll outrun you on motor. No cam, no stall... Just bolt ons.

Actually this dude has a vortec 350, they stopped making the TBI 350s in 96. You for sure need to re-gear man. I used to have a 96 Z71 with 33" goodyear wrangler mtr's and it was a turd with the 3.42's. I guarentee you your not gonna walk away from anybody in a race with that combo. I threw in some 4.10's and it was a night and day difference. The vortec 350 is limited by the poppet style injectors it has. That will be his main limitation if he tries fixing it up. I agree with the others, just do a motor swap and be done with it.

No worries, this is a community, as much as we all love LSx powered vehicles, we love all kinds of other combos as well (most of us, at least)... if you're wanting to learn about the swap, the first place to look is here http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/lsx-t...onversion.html 6.0 prices range quite a bit, depending on year and mileage, you can check on Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market to find one in your area if you do decide to do a swap. Don't be scared by the LQ4/LQ9 prices, 5.3s can be had for a lot less, and will also make great power with a little time and money.

By the way, you can put the pictures into a thread by copying the link and putting it inside like this or uploading them to a site like Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and directly copying and pasting the link from there. I'll make it easy and start you out by posting up the ones you uploaded.

Truck looks good, I like the wheel/tire combo... IMO take the flames off, along with the tube steps and stick on chrome, and you've got yourself a nice truck.
