    2 questions: one will discount tire match my price that i find for off brand tires like the buckshots, two i found a set of stock chevy rims with 60% tread goodyear Mts, he has 5 wheels and tires for 425 bucks. does that sound like a good deal or should i just but some new tires.

    Discount claims they can match even off brand tires. I think it depends on the store. just get the new ones. you will pay about the same price anyway.

    the wheels are stock 99-02 silverado rims, they are the really common five spoke, they are the ones on my truck now. and the tires are 245/75/16 something like that.

    245/75s arnt big enough.....you prolly have 265s on your truck now

    i am runnning 265s right now, but i ran that smaller size on my tahoe with out any problems, if discount tire will really match any price i might just go with them.

    265 doesnt mean height its width

    i hate tire talk. o well, i am going to call discount tire and see if they will match the price i found for some buckshots. thanks for all the help.

    If you haven't bought tires yet, look up Mud King XT's. They are made by BFG.

    Im running mud kings on my truck and for the price, you cant beat them. minimal road noise and they handle great in the mud and snow.I paid $580 for 285/75/16s shipped to my door on summit racing. theyve been on the truck for almost 2 years, and put around 28k miles on them along with a few burnouts, and still have about 50% tread left.
    03 4.8, k&n cai, gutted cats and one loud cherry bomb extreme, nelson tuned. RIP
