I think we will start out with a reg cab and an Ex cab at first and see how they will do. Don't worry, I am not going to mark them up 12000 like some other conversion companies do. This will be moderately priced just a tad over cost. The key is to get people excited about the trucks and make a little off everyone not just one person. I will let everyone know when I get priceing. Hopefully soon.

I say build one of both, then replace them as each sells. It won't take long to answer your question. I would think even if you needed one in a hurry, one could be converted in a couple of days at the most.

wow, this thread has kind of taken off! Thanks for all the input guys!

I can see a bare bones 2wd , regcab, truck being built and then maybe a fancier ext cab version. Either way, it would be one badass truck from the dealer!
The nice thing is, these kits just don't stop at the Silverado's, they fit the Avalanche, HD Trucks, Suburbans, Tahoes, GTO's and soon the vette.

reatals1, you're going to have the baddest dealership in TX. btw, thanks for joining us, hope this thread helps answers some of your questions.

Can you imagine, a turbocharged truck from the dealer, that will run mid to low 13's, that would be too good to be true.
In addition to the window sticker, it'd be cool to see the dyno chart on the other window, hahahah!

    later,

I know you've probably already thought of this, but if I were the dealer I would be contacting Primedia with a press release about the new trucks that will be available soon. A plug in Hot Rod, Sport Truck & Truckin could go a long way to expanding the market on the trucks from locals walking on the lot to enthusiasts nation wide seeking out the trucks specifically.

Good Luck. I Love it when a business plan comes together (grin)
