    Two words, Austin Traffic. A brake controller wouldn't have helped out situation.

    That isn't no lie...when those brake lights came on its like eveyrone hit a wall...I was a few inches from being rear ended.

    I dont know about that i was the other one towing in the group and when we had to stop i had all 8 tires locked up and got stoped. So i would say the brake controller saved the rear end of another truck.

    I can say for a fact the trailer brakes Matt had worked well. I know as I watched that massive cow catcher coming toward the back of my truck. all the while thinking " why o why did I haft to be in front of him...." but luckily the brakes he had saved our tail! Sold me on trailer brakes from that moment on!

    I understand trailer brakes completely... remember, I live on a ranch have pull a stock trailer, a 3 horse slant, and multiple hay trailers during the summer. Chick hit Chris going around 35 MPH... I doubt trailer brakes would have saved the collision, but I wont deny that they would have slowed him down more.
