    Not sure why an SS ever gets second billing to the Z28 moniker but oh well.....the SS cars were always better on the strip back in the day.

    when they came out with this new camaro I could never understand why the z28 was moved to the top of the heap. Makes no sense, but I'll still take any of em

    It has been the case before several times. Any time both were offered at the same time the SS was always a better acceleration performer.

    What was the difference between the two on the early nineties F bodies with LT1's? And werent the last gen LS camaros arranged with the SS as the halo, then the z28, and lastly the RS, or am I forgetting something?

    You are correct, but I guess after a cobalt ss, hhr ss, and a FWD V8 impala ss they kind of put a bad spin on the name.

    Good points but those were not sold in Z12 form. How many of those have you driven? Any of them might surprise someone that is not loaded with mods.
