    Legal to put a newer engine in an older vehicle as long as all the emissions crap goes with it. No, we can't win without cheating.

    IMO it didnt sound like it ran very good.

    thats pretty cool. and for all the sbc haters im sure it was A LOT cheaper then an lsx swap. whoever calls it a waist or says carbs are for lawnmowers needs to open there mind up and realize there are more ways then one to make power.

    +1. A SBC can be built cheap. I would probably almost always go LS if I could but if not I'd old old school....just not on a newer truck unless it was track only.

    they all have a place, good old small black with a carb is definitely the king of budget performance if your starting from scratch. i think i would go big block though if your gonna be throwing in the towel for fuel mileage anyways.

    Good point. I have never owned an SBC but I flushed a few BBC's thrugh my Chevelle for half my life (until it was sold).
