    Bingo.

I bet the vac line on the TB is still connected, thus pressurizing the crankcase, and the easiest place to push it out is the dipstick tube.

Don't ask me how I know.

4.8s have smaller pistons and can handle more boost. You must get a boost gauge and fuel pressure gauge and wideband. You regualtor in the tank has nothing to do with not being able to have these items. Your engine is most likely only blowing oil out the dipstick and into the throttle body via the valve cover to throttle body vacuum hose. My 6.0 did the same thing till I changed the pvc set up. Actually i got rid of it. I put a breather in the valve cover. and bought a 2nd passenger valve cover and put 2 breather cap filters in. bingo no more blow by no more smoking engine. All was good after that. One member here has run 18lbs of boost on a stock 4.8. The same engine has seen 25lb spikes that would have blown a stock 6.0 to bits.

I bought a cheap plastic oil filler cap from autozone and drilled it out and glued the filter into the hole on the filler cap. I then removed the drivers valve cover and put another passenger valve cover on the drivers side. then repeated the filler cap and breather mod. I capped the vacuum line on the throttle body that went to the valve cover with the smaller hole in it. It has been a while since i did this someone else may chime in and add details or easier fixes.

I think i t d mine into the brake booster line. I am certain it can be done with out the other valve cover. Search on Silveradoss.com or performancetrucks.net. I know someone has done the same thing on an 05. My intake is a 99 so I really cant help much. I am not sure how different they are.

No problem. You should look into an intercooler really soon too. That charger will be night and day differance. Don't be afraid to post questions in the forum there are tons and tons of people here that really know whats going on.

I would seriously consider letting Nelson Performance do some work on it for you. If i lived as close as you do theyd do all my work for me.
