burning that much oil...time to take out the gun and fire some shots at the motor. its done.

All i need it to do is last till March and thats what im going to do. It still runs great the weird thing is it hasnt burned oil like that since 3weeks ago when I went to SC. But the coolant is the same way will be ok for about 2weeks then it needs some more.

20 at idle IS normal it's just not typical.

If it took a dramatic change in a short period of time there is probably something wrong. If it was gradual, it's unlikely there is a bid issue. 6.0's had common pick-up o-ring problems that caused less than 5 at idle (which is NOT normal). Maybe there is a slight issue there...?

what the book says isnt exactly right. 20 is not normal or right at all. GM can spec it as much as they want to cover asses. a GenIII that sits at 20psi at idle will have issues and wont last that long

You have missed some grammar classes. By definition of the word "normal" 20 is normal. It is however not typical. Simple really.

listen GG whatever your issue is with FLT or whoever dont bring that **** my way. i not arguing with your ass. fact is i know what GM spec's say but isnt right!!!! argue as much as you want in the mirror. fact is a motor idling at 20psi is wounded or something is restricting the flow to the sensor. either way its not a good thing.

A 20 psi idle has hurt nothing. Ever.
