Daniel I'm free that Saturday so count me in to be there to help out. Have you checked with your tuner to get a new tune now so its ready that day as I want it to run right w/o idle issues, man I'm just as excited as you are!!!
Is there a grill there or a portable one you can bring I can make some burgers while we work and some Earl Campbells Links
Be sure to have plenty of rags and simple green on hand and did you get a list from your installer on what else you will need like fluids, gaskets, new crank bolt, etc....

Daniel now would be a good time to throw an UD pulley on there if you want. I wont be able to get up there until probably 6 saturday afternoon since Ill have to work. We can get the springs done that night then do the cam swap sunday. The springs are the biggest pain in the ass the actual cam swap is cake.

Yeah--Daniel, if you can set up a drop with someone else--by all means, do so...
Daniel--to make your swap go faster, go ahead and disconnect the battery, radiator fluid drained, take out radiator, e-fans, hoses, tranny fluid lines, belt, take off water pump, take of valve covers, rocker assemblies, etc. Get it all ready so that when Cody gets there, ya'll can blow-and-go on the springs. Like Cody said, the springs are biatches---not hard, but time consuming. I am sure Cody has it, but the compressor with rubber compression test spark plug fitting is a MUST! That will make everything go easier. Oh, and a pen magnet for the valve locks. Don't wanna loose one of those! And make sure to go by the dealer and get a new crank bolt...

Well Daniel, I guess Ill just come up sunday morning. I have to work all day on saturdays 99% of the time. I have extra valve locks in case we lose one. I reuse the crank bolt but if you want to get a new one by all means get it. I usually just throw some loctite on it and put it back in. I know some people frown on it but since you dont have a blower on it I wouldnt worry. I reused my factory crank bolt in my 5.3 4 or 5 times, I put it in my 418 when I built it. Do you have air tools where we are going to be doing the swap?
