great times adrenaline
some 26" tall et streets would help that et and give you more gearing.

jaxpewter, since your truck is 4x4 and heavier, i'd recommend the 01 z06 cam over that one. it has less duration and less lift thought but it will be better to get you out the hole.

jaxpewter, that z06 cam would be a good upgrade of cam for you but if your going to waste money on new springs since its not a direct replacement, u might as well get a little cam 212/218. now if u want to upgrade your cam to a better direct fit one go for the LS1cam where u dont have to change anything and u can find it for about 50bux. if i had ur truck i'd get full bolt ons and a little cam with a nice 3inch exhaust so it can sound mean when its tearing up the mood.

thanx for the advise guys, how much difference would the ls1 cam make? can you recomend some bolt ons

and the spesific cam i should get, my goal is to get 13's but i know my truck is to heavy and a daily driver

so any recommendation would help alot just to move alittle faster and maybe give compition to the cars my

friends Z28 beats (love the sound of a 01 z06 cam but if something else works just as good with out changing springs, rods, and rockers, i rather do that) thanx

jaxpewter, well since you actually want to give some z28s a good scare with a good strong cam a 212/218 would do the job just perfect since that cam doesnt require a stall. to compliment that cam go with full bolt ons being e-fans, K&Nintake, LT headers, pulley, spacer, exhasut w/3inch Ypipe and when ever ur down at the valley get yourself a good DanTheMan tune. He tuned my friends ext.cab Z71 and he's giving singlecab 5.3s good scares and thats cus all he has is a tune and exhaust and still has his hitch, extra tire, and heavyass toolbox with tools inside.

well Dan is easily one of the best tuners in the nation, he's right up there with Allen Nelson. His work speaks for itself...who are u tuned by?

Comp Cams GEN III/LS1/LS6 350 Xtreme RPM Cam 212/218. Nice upgrade from stock, good torque, good daily driver cam. Very string midrange cam. 1200-6000 RPM.
Lift: .522/.529 Dur@.050: 212/218 LSA: 114

is this the cam u told me about

gold 87,s brother does my tuning hes from roma i think you said he was on rgv truck site, when he did my tuning i felt alot of difference (yesterday on the way to the valley i floored it and it hit 85 on the speedomiter and it didn't want to shift it was on 5500 rpms just spinning for a while until it finally caught and dropped back to 75 mph but the streets were all wet it was fun either way and even better seeing a state trooper a couple of miles down the road pulling over some other car lol.

yeah man thats the one. its a really good daily driver cam with a good high end. that should do the job in your truck really badass especially wen you get full bolt-ons....oh laverito tuned your truck then. the only truck i know tuned by him is that g-old truck and its running great. i've heard really good things about that guys tunes especially for the experience he has. but i mean if you have the chance to get it tuned by dan i rather go to him but is all up to you.
