My truck was orginally a 4.8 5 speed and I went to the LS1 with a 6 speed and it was a very easy conversion. You can use the hydraulic line from your current setup and it will plug into the slave cylinder on the 6 speed, you crossmember should fit perfect with no mods you will just need a shorter driveshaft and lower gears in the back.

I'm glad you did this. We've (Allen and I) been thinking about that exact swap for years and figured it would be a real easy swap. I always figured you could pick up a base model truck with a 4.8 and 5 speed for a good price and make a screaming hotrod truck out of it. Nice job!
