thats the only way a real 1/4 time should count, i mean if u wanna call it a race truck then by all means weight reduction is in order. but if someone came up to me and said whats ur 1/4 id wanna tell them the true 1/4 time that my truck runs on a daily basis.

Well i mean thats great and all, but anything to make the truck lighter is going to help. It doesnt take a huge amount of time to remove the tailgate/spare tire etc. Thats cool you wanna run street weight,l but "hypothetically" speaking if you want to go with street weight and it comes down to the wire and i beat you with my truck by say 2/10s because i took off my tailgate and spare to reduce weight, then who has the faster truck? Yeah we may be tied on the street if i had my tailgate, but on paper ive got the faster truck. Running a 1/4 on the street is not as accurate as running at the track, plus ive got the paper to prove my trucks faster. Are your not going to run slicks when that thing gets faster? Im sure you would like to run your trucks with slicks if it gets that quick, but yet you wouldnt drive around all day with slicks on would you? I mean i understand both of yalls reasoning for not wanting to do the small things like tailgate spare, but if it means you beating someone you want to beat, then do it, you may not see him on the road. Just my .

By the way moze, your truck has assloads of stuff left in it with the things you have done! I believe in that beast

I ran a 14.1 with cam, headers & tune. Mine is a 4wd frame, but only 2wd. Yes, it is a LQ9, but it give you an idea.

I get what your saying, but it's more a matter of WHY I or you go to the track in the first place. My purpose was to see, in street-mode, what it's capable of - not to see if I was faster than the next guy or not. And to answer your other question, no I won't be running slicks...my interest is how fast can I make my daily driver "as is" under everyday driving conditions. I just ran next to (not so much 'against&#39 Alan because we were there together.

That was my hope/thinking...I hope you're right and there's more than a 15.0 + second truck left in that thing...

Makes sense...I'd believe the 6.0 could easily be faster than mine by a second or more...

I totally understand what your getting at. I was more or less referring that to brandon. But like ive noticed the more mods people do around the area when we meet up, the more and more they try to squeeze every 10th or 100th of a second out of the truck.

Makes sense...everyone has their own reasons for going I guess. I sure wouldn't mind going again...each run was an improvement over the last.

Its almost like a girlfriend or boyfriend if you swing that way. The more you work her, or work on her for that matter, the more she will go.......

I cant compare 1/4 mi seeing as Arkansas sucks and we dont have those, but I have 1000' times. My best is 12.88 in full street trim, and I mean full with a bit of shit in the back. I dont take anythign off, I usually just drive into the park and get right into line. lol

I agree about keeping the truck at its street weight. I never remove anything. Lately though I am chasing numbers and considering a weight reduced track outing.

well I look at it this way, run the truck at street trim and then you know what it will do on the street, then take the weight off and get your best times
