    my guage does the same thing, using 02 cluster, but 83 sending unit, it is because the newer tanks use a 33 -240 ohm sending unit, older one uses a 0-90 ohms, your sending unit is prob. a 0-90 ohms
    1987 jeep wrangler, 1999 LS 1, 4l60 231j transfercase, dana 30 frontend ford 8.8 rearend 3:73 gear ratio. sandersons shortie headers, 2.25 inch exhaust into 3 inch flowmaster muffler.

    well thats a scary thought wonder if ill have the same problem with my 5.3 swap. if i have nelson redo the wiring harness i hope that should take care of it.
