So to be able to use the ly6 I will need to do something about it being a 58x reluctor vs a 24x. Has anyone overcome this obstacle yet?

Will I be able to use the ECM that comes with the ly6? At this point I am in need of a lot of help. I have been trying to do my homework, but i must be missing something.

So what I have found out so far is that, to use the ly6 PCM (E38) I will need a tcm (T42) to run my 4l80e. But this PCM will not work with my factory gauges.
Or I can use Lingenfelters 58x to 24x convertor with say a 0411 ECM. ?? But would have to use dbw and disable vvt. Does this sound right or am I off track here?

take the vvt off and throw it in the trash. Summit racing sells a vvt delete kit for a pretty good price.... http://www.summitracing.com/parts/cm...1z6xoCGBPw_wcB Use a 0411 PCM with the lingenfelter box and youll be good to go

I just picked up the engine on Friday. I cleaned it up and getting ready to remove 1 broken exhaust bolt. Also going to change out some gaskets while I have it out. I will let you know how my adapter plates work out when I get the engine dropped in. I got my dimensions online for them. What is your project?

Ok, so my motor mount adapters did not turn out as good as I would have liked, so I ordered some from ICT Billet. Has anyone used any of there products yet? Prices seem reasonable also. One thing I did find out after measuring both my old L31 5.7, and my LY6 is that the setback on the motor adapters is 1/2" and not 1". Does this make much of a difference when installing your engines?
