And does the ls have an evo solenoid? Do I need one? Or do i have to use the obs power steering pump?

Sounds good. Ya I heard with this harness it is the best way to go. When I do another OBS I will be doing my own harness. Doesnt sound to hard just time consuming. I picked this whole setup from a older gentleman that couldnt figure it out so he sold the L59 engine brand new harness, programmed pcm, and throttle assembly for 400 bucks. because he didnt like the Drive by Wire setup and couldnt figure out what to do with the transmission.

My P/S pump was leaking a couple of years ago. I had a used non EVO S10 Blazer pump in the shed. I used it and I can't tell any difference in the way it steers. I wouldn't worry about the EVO sensor.

I know!! lol I dont even have power brakes on my Nova

Ok guys a couple more questions. Sorry like I said Im new to all these wires used to older BBC's. My new harness has an alternator plug on it. I saved the factory truck one also. Does the LS PCM need to be hooked up to the alternator also? Also there is a single green wire on the stock truck harness with a blue plug. Any ideas what it is? Sorry Like i said I am new to all these wires. lol

If the Alt plug is a four pin connector with probably just one wire in it---Then it doesn't need to go to the PCM. If it is a two wire connector with two wires in it---Then it is set up for a PCM PWM alternator and does need to go to the PCM.
The single green wire in a blue connector sounds like the temp sender wire for your gauge. There is also a two wire temp sensor that inputs to the PCM.

Ok heres another dumb question. What torque converter do I need to use? I bought another transmission due to the one in my 98 being bad. (Thats how I got the truck so cheap) I am wanting to go with a higher stall speed and was told I can go with a v6 one but the one that came out of my truck is a B29 series any ideas on the other codes? I know this question has been asked several times but not by me. haha
