i have no indifference between either motor, im just ready to haev a v8 in my truck. ive had it since highschool as a sophmore and im on my second v6 motor. i know that the ls1 can be tuned easier than the lt1. Overall im not too worried about making the motor make tremendous power, i just want it to be more than what im used to which it will be as soon as i get it running. Also i just want to be able to say i have a 6 speed in a old pickup. not many people in my area can say that.

Personally if I already had a LT1 in my possession, why not use it. Plus you will have everything you need for the swap at your fingertips. You will need a fuel pump say from a 92 camaro to achieve fuel pressure you'll need, the stock computer from your car will have to have vats removed from it, and your going to need V8 motor mounts, there will be some wiring to do and, some exhaust work will also be needed. thats all I remember from V6 to V8 swap we did 15 plus yrs ago.
