Whatever I decide to do I'm gonna top it off with the 853's I ported. Planning on getting an actual boost cam specd for it and a victor Jr intake . This is something I can put together at a budget cost, after all it is a budget build. I've thought about a stroked 6.0 but if I'm gonna spend the money on a 6.0 block I want to put l92 heads on it and a holley intake but My budget is gonna get cut short . Reason for the budget cut is because I've got to upgrade my fuel system, turbo, cold pipes, hot pipes, waste gates, and intercooler . Gonna have lots of stuff for sale in the next few months ha ha .

I have heard terrible things about 853 heads like requiring a graphite gasket and not flowing very well. Of course your port job should help, but with 243/799s coming down in price so dramatically in the last few years I would jump on a set and port them. Seen them go as cheap as $300 even a set of wcch heads are on pt.net for $800 right now. My thought is why spend $3000 on the short block and cheap out on the heads.

If you're going small bore long stroke just keep the stock bore and throw a dragonslayer crankshaft in. 4" stroke is good. I've heard quite a few bad things about more than 4" stroke in the LS motors, even in the lsx block.

I think you could get 800 out of a large single.

U would need new shorter rods with that 4" crank right? What would that be in cubic inches?

    A 4" stroke in a 3.9" bore is a 383. A 4.125 stroke would make it a 389 I believe, maybe 393. Too lazy to do the math

395..... after further research the 4.125 stroke is not recommended with boost.
