2wd for sure. You will be fighting to steer in 4wd and you are better off letting the tail drift.

Okay, that was my initial thought. I know in the Lucas offroad series the pro2 trucks can't touch the pro4 trucks. I figure with something this small 2wd will be the way to go. I am open to addition advice though, I really want to win this shiz.

It really depends on how tight the track is. If you're in a RZR S 800 or 900 then you won't worry about fighting steering. 4x launches out of loose corners better.

Well he did say base model. I think the new ones have AWD that can't be turned off. I've read many people say even in 2wd it will engage the AWD when you spin. My neighbors have three of the 800 RZR and one of their buddies has the RZR S.

Ah, ok then. My only experience with them has been in the sand and I don't think we ever ran them in 2wd. Hell, best advice is to just floor it haha

Sorry forgot to post. Well I was expecting a medium sized motocross track and I was dead wrong. Try instead a enduro/trial style track. Out of 13 RZRs 6 flipped at some point 1 blown motor due to destroying the radiator lots of lost body peices several got stuck and one even lost an axel. Stupid fun for sure. My car got 5th overall. Not too bad, but I didn't get to take one home either.

Amazing how much damage will be done when you don't have to worry about fixing them. Sounded fun.
