Crazy new motor

[J Industries]

This motor is from mercury racing for marine applications. The biggest problem with marine applications is that there can be an extremely high load at WOT for extended periods of time. This motor is QOHC with 4 valves per cylinder. 9.0L and twin turbo. The turbos have water cooled turbine housings. It doesnt run a whole lot of boost but also has a 1 year complete warranty. It makes 1350 HP and similar TQ and spins to 6500. It was built from the ground up for this specif application.

There are many boats out there with 2 of these in it. One of them ( a 35' DCB M35) was up my way last month. At the shoot out in havasu it went somewhere around 180

There is a Nortec (I think) that is a 52' super cat that has 4 of them. When you buy the motor you have the option to buy the matching out drive. Total package 200k each.

With these they do fly.
