I agree with you. I just dont think thats what happened in this case. Im gonna stick to my original guess, I think its the turbo

Its almost not worth pulling the heads if the smoke is from the engine.

The only other thing I can think of is I know Jansen you mentionedI dont know where that sensor is at but if its oil level I would think its possible you had a drainage problem since its trying to push against fluid?I removed my oil level sensor in the pan and routed my return line into it. No issues here.
